Today is a New Day

A night out with girlfriends can be a great energizer for the soul. I went out with my friends Jill and Natalya last night and I have to say I haven’t laughed that hard in awhile. They say laughter is the best medicine and I completely agree. I went home sad that I had to leave but as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out.

Aparently a couple of cocktails and laughing so hard I was crying was all it took to wear myself out on a Tuesday.

I woke up this morning feeling a little tired but as soon as I put on my workout clothes I started to get excited about the day. I’m looking forward to seeing friends at Shred415 this morning.

I am going to press restart on my weightloss journey today. I’m determined to lose these last 20 pounds. But it’s only going to happen if I get back to what worked for the first 80 pounds. I will need to stay away from the foods that aren’t helping me and go out of my comfort zone to try new and healthy foods.

So if you have a recipe you’re loving or a green juice that I just have to try I’m all ears. I am going to try my hardest to chip away at this goal one pound at a time.

I drink a green shake every morning. I make a batch on the weekend and freeze them in ball jars and pull them out the night before and blend again (I like mine cold so I might add ice if it is completely defrosted).

Green Shake: Any leafy greens (I do spinach, romaine, watercress, kale), fruit (it cuts the bitter from the greens) apples, berries, almond butter for protein (or any other nut butter), hemp seeds. I blend it up with water and freeze! The key to making it not taste bitter is the fruit!!
