For most people Monday is the start of a new work week so Sundays are typically spent getting last minute errands done, finishing up that last load of laundry, tidying up around the house, and of course watching Sunday night tv.
I’m one of those weirdos that actually enjoys Mondays. For the last four years or so I have started my week with a Monday group fitness class at Shred415. I love waking up early and having the first thing I do be for myself. Even during my heaviest, I looked forward to seeing familiar faces and being encouraged to “reach my max” a few times a week. I can’t fully explain the range of emotions I have felt during class but I can say on the days I was really working through something I couldn’t tell what was sweat and what were tears. A great workout can be like therapy and that’s exactly what Shred415 is for me.
Whether you’re trying to lose weight, maintain a healthy lifestyle, or even just unplug for an hour it is such an uplifting experience and I can’t imagine starting my week any other way.
If you like really good music, working out with friends, and sweating your ass off then this is the class for you. And unlike other group fitness classes even though there is constant instruction given, you are encouraged to go at your own pace. Which means if you’re not a runner you can jog. If you’re not a jogger you can walk.
I’m always looking for a fun workout on the days I’m not at Shred415 so let me know when you want to meet up at your favorite class. Until next time!
