I’ve been getting a little too comfortable with my eating routine lately. While I’m still not eating dairy I have been having bread a fair amount and I’m not going to lie my sugar intake has been on the rise.
What’s the reason for the change in my restricted diet? Oh you know, just falling back on old habits, having poor willpower, and of course boredom all play a role in my current self-sabotage.
I was out of town this weekend and it was like I became a different person. I basically ate everything that crossed paths with my mouth.
When I got on the scale today I was prepared for a slight raise in the number but I’m not going to go off the deep end and restrict myself to only vitamins and water.
Instead I am going to take this week and refocus on my eating habits. I’m going to get back to basics. That means stocking our refrigerator with lots of vegetables for healthy snacking, limiting my carbs so I don’t turn into one, and sadly restricting my sugar intake.
So if you and I are having a meal together this week or next I will recruit you to help me stay in line. You can keep the bread basket on your side of the table too.
